A Custom web platform for the promotion of the green industry.

Nursery-Trend Team is composed of a multinational team of highly skilled web developers (Europe, USA) and a team of experienced businessmen from the nursery industry (Florida, Belgium, The Netherlands, Costa Rica)

The mix of both experiences allowed the development of a business oriented web platform : Nursery-Trend.com .

The platform first goal is to promote in Europe and USA the growers using the platform.

  • This custom platform allows any growers association, plant society , private portal to provide a turnkey hosted solution to their members.
The key advantages of this integrated hosted platform is to provide a uniform process to a group or association.

It allows a growers association to promote with consistence a brand or a communication strategy by giving a uniform presentation of all members. cross-traffic will benefit all the members of the portal. A potential buyer coming for a plant might contact another grower ofr another plant.

It allows to communicate between users and as well to generate business documents using a controlled processed. (avoiding re keying of the same information , and allowing the archiving of all communication)

The platform can be totally rebranded (skin, logos....) to reflect the graphic representation of the entity.

Multi currency and mutilingual capabilities are already present. You just need to do the traduction in the language you need .

The platform was technically designed in order to generate XML files to allow the printed of catalogs using a Print On a Demand platform. Allowing for easy generation of printed catalogs. Printed ads linked to the advertisers are maintained in the application for easy invoicing.
The platform allows to have 3 groups of users:
  • Growers Directory (mapping and geocoding with GoogleMap)
  • Vendors Directory (Allied supplies, landscapers, services, equipment rental, real estate...) (mapping and geocoding with GoogleMap)
  • Buyers Directory (mapping and geocoding with GoogleMap)
Growers are be able to create an account and upon approval, update their inventory listing. (A list of 25,000 plants is already pre-loaded with an encyclopedia. Growers only have to select plant names, enter quantities, prices and pot sizes and optionally other key criterias : certification, plant spread...)

The platform integrates the following modules:

1. Plant Inventory module: powerful searches allows to locate plants and allied supplies. inventory is maintained by each registered grower or vendor.
2. RFQS : Request for Quotation ; growers , vendors and buyers have a private busines to business platform to locate plants and request quotes.
3. Wholesale Auctions module: growers and vendors can place on auctions plants, used equipment...) . The platform manages the listing and selling fees.
4. Classifieds Ads Module : gorwers, vendors and buyers can place classifieds ads (employment, real estate, business for sale...).
5. Forum module: creates a community of users to exchange information or contacts.
6. Fax over the internet : serves as an alternate communication tool between buyers and sellers if email is not an option.
7. SMS text messaging and WAP platform to send alerts to cell phone supporting text messages.
8. A powerful report generation engine allows to generate reports in Acrobat PDF, Excel or export to standard formats like CSV, Excel, XML.
9. A large array of dynamic charts and graphics using flash technology and XML allows to provide key information like : plant price trend, visitors statistics....
10. A powerful ad management module is integrated to serve banner and and text ads throughout the site.
11. An invoicing module allows the site administrator to generate invoices for all services (banner ads, text ads, plant listing, user subscription...) directly from the platform.
Licensing & Pricing

The licensing is done on a per user basis.

(A user is a registered account maintaining an inventory on the platform or a buyer using the availability reports and quotes modules.)

The application is hosted on our servers. The growers association, plant society , private portal will purchase a number of licenses based on the number of users maintaining an inventory.

Discount applies for projects with a large number of users:

The pricing is done on:
  • A per user basis.
  • Illimited number of inventory listings.
  • Invoicing must be prepaid for the coming month.
  • Bracket level for invoicing is based on number of registered users.


Bracket 1 : 0-50 users : $14.95/month per user.
Bracket 2 : 51-100 users : 15% discount .
Bracket 3 : 101-250 users : 20% discount .
Bracket 4 : 251-500 users : 25% discount .

Technical support of the application is included: (technical support includes debugging of the application if needed, server maintenance and backup.)

Technical support does not include customer request for configuring their computer, email or internet connection.

Other consulting and assistance services can be provided (bulk upload, custom development, integration with another application....) on a quote basis.
